i might be a dead man soon ...............
well wednsday the roads here were to say the least a travesty and extremely slick and nasty . on the worst county road on my route which twists turns and up and down and crowned like mad i made it two miles from the end and ended up in a ditch . weellllll .... i think it was preordained . as after the owner and myself had some words for some postal employees lack of caring for human life , and lack of knowledge about conditions , it was agreed i would go to lincoln ill to go around to the last stop till weather breaks { way outta my way but the safest } and lo and behold when i went up wed afternoon i found me a running , the owner was moving it around in the yard , red like my old one , 55 f350 !!!! this one is a flatbed where mine was a car hauler but ............ if and when i get there to continue the " discussion " well .... when i go home i'll be a dead man soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! d--ned addiction is worse than anything i've ever beaten , and i dont want to become " clean " in this case !!!! oh yeah it's a y block ............

You can't get away with this excuse too many times, but it is good for a couple trucks, I have told my wife that "at least I'm not buying little red convertibles and getting girl friends". (reference to middle age crisis for you younger guys) You have to know when to play that card but it does work! If that fails, trying breaking the news in front of another guy that she has respect for. It may soften the blow! I view every truck purchase as a rescue!!

Hello, my name is Del and I'm a Ford truckoholic.
She'll kill me if I drag any more home. She gets even by going to the jewelry store and coming home with new bling if I drag home a project. That way it costs me double. That has almost been a cure, but it doesn't keep me from looking. Just Saturday I saw a '70's something crewcab with a step side bed parked beside a shed that looked like it needed a new home. It was red, so may have been a firetruck at some time in it's life. I do need to check it out. LOL
