My current chip

0= No Start
1=Stock
2= Decel
3= 60T
4= 80E
5=140 Agg
6= Lope
7=Lope Smoke
8= Drive thru
9=super Smoke
10= High idle

6-9 were test tunes that didn't cost me a thing.

I have towed 10K around the TN mountains and never had to get out of 80E. I would keep the basic tunes and ditch the drive thru unless you have bigger injectors because in stock mode they are really quiet

Also get the VB upgrades now, either a Transgo kit, a Tugger kit, or a complete BTS VB. ALso keep in mind if your tranny goes down Brian will credit the 225 bucks on a new tranny.

 

Whats the super smoke tune?

 

Yeah and the lope smoke, that sounds cool

 

Super Smoke is just a tune with alot of fueling puts out a little bit more smoke then the 140 aggressive I kinda wish I had a 6 speed so I could lug it. I rarely use it and it has some rather impressive EGTs.

Mine doesn't smoke nearly as good as kris's did it is hit and miss depending on the trucks

I'll have too look my super smoke hasn't been so great since I have ran Bio and I am having injector trouble with #8.

You can lug it, just pop the shifter into 2nd. I did that once and filled a up a car sitting next me at a light. That kid wont cut off another diesel again..

 

I can do it driving at a slow speed then punch it but nothing like a 6 spd.

Yep we had a great time lots of pictures, we got back home about 10:30 after driving through that mean rain storm.

 

Thats true, you can get a dyno tune that IIRC locks it into OD.

 

Another question I thought of, when you have a DP does it overwrite the stock high idle? I'm thinking about not having the tune on the chip since it seems to work great stock. thx

 

Does anyone have a 6spd? would you change your choices with a manual tranny or would they stay the same?
