I have a 1985 f350 4x4 with the 6.9 diesel and 4 speed. I have a 460with an auto in another truck and want to swap out the diesel and put in the 460. The truck has a hydraulic clutch. I know that I will need a 460 gas bellhousing to bolt up to the diesel tranny. Do I have to find a hydraulic bellhousing or will a manual work also without major mods. Anyone have a bellhousing?

 

Yes, you need to find a hydraulic bellhousing, or get a manual bell with all the manual clutch linkage.
