You were under 10 when the Louisville first came out, I was an adult. I have observed the truck during it's entire history in my province and I'm talking about it's entire history.

I will say again that we have differing opinions on this topic and so far, nothing you have offered as evidence, has swayed me.

At this point, as far as I'm concerned the topic is closed.

When my dad did construction work in northern sask back in the day it was mainly mack trucks that were used. I remember as a kid always liking the mack trucks because of the bulldog on the hood!

When I was in the market for my dump truck i talked to some mechanics and they advised me that the ford heavy trucks werent that great. Never did get many specifics on why that was though.

Ya still see the occasional Ford heavy truck from time to time out in the patch, and it seems like highways bought a ton of them back in the day. Not sure what they use now.

Talk to 10 techs and you`ll get 11 different answers.........
Talk to me and you`ll get my answer. All I`ve even run were the older Louis`s from the 70`s into the later 80`s with no unusual problems in the design or workmanship of the actual truck it`s self. Keep in mind that my trucks were bought used but seemingly well taken care of units.

How very true Morris.
I should have went and asked around to more drivers, and guys that have owned different trucks throughout the years.

Specially guys that bought them used and had to do their own work to them, THAT is the good kinda info I was looking for!
