starting problems
i have a 79 ford f150 with a 351w. i was recently "rodin" on it and lost all my top end revs. i thought i might of bent a valve so i checked the compression in all the cylindrs and those are all the same give or take 5 psi. so then i checked timing and my vacume advance diaphram for my distributer was leaking. so i replaced it. didnt help. it has a minor noise in the engine almost a faint clunk noise. when i try to start it, it almost wants to start but after a few turns it acts like its got a pre ignition problem because it starts to crank really hard then it stops on and off. could i have skipped a tooth on my timing chain?
