Yeah... I don't really see how it is possible to use a cell phone while driving. It is distracting !

Well first off here is what caused me to get a new vehicle...
The wrecked 2000 Honda Civic :
Here is where my brother in law's forehead hit the windshield...
Now here is the new SUV (Joe should know what this is [since he had one before supposedly]):
This is a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT with the 5.9 L V8. This SUV has 181,450 miles as of this morning. It drives great & the brakes work WELL !

Forehead + Windshield= NO SEATBELT
The passenger compartment is intact.
Had your BIL been wearing his seatbelt he would maybe feel sore but he would have been uninjured.
I'm sorry that this happened to anyone but you have to protect yourself.

Morning Ex'rs and reppers!
Independence Day is often a time for fireworks, barbecues and family as we celebrate the founding of the United States. But beyond the celebrations, this holiday should serve as a reminder to all of us that these privileges are not easily earned. For some 236 years we have enjoyed the freedoms won by our nation’s founders and preserved by generations of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen.
On this 4th of July…everyone should take a moment today to reflect on the sacrifices made for us to enjoy such an amazing country and celebrate yet another birthday in this great nation of freedom!
Hope everyone enjoys the day...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!
Joe.

Yes I had a 2004 Durango for about 2 months...it had the 5.7L Hemi engine...
It was a nice SUV (although we had the newer body style durango)...it just was all show and no go when it came to hauling the heavy campers I tend to buy...
Nice looking truck though...I like the red too...but the cops pick it up too...so be careful!
We really need to get together one of these days to chat buddy...afterall we're in the same freaking town!
Good luck with the new SUV!

Ahh... but he was indeed wearing a seat belt (I'm sure it was in the police report too). The air bags deployed a little too late to keep him from hitting his head. The impact of the other car was extremely sudden. That all was happening at 45 mph.

Thanks, Joe. I do love driving the Dodge after taking a few minutes to get used to it this morning for the first time. My brother in law test drove it on monday afternoon with me, my mom, & my aunt. He said that there was not many problems with it. We got the Dodge yesturday morning & had it insured about an hour later. I was think the exact same thing about meeting up sometime. Great minds think alike !

I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Mom is going to have the vehicle looked over better on her next day off.
