Intro Message from a 2005 F350 owner
Purchased my first Super Duty February 1 2018. Researched through many forum sources the plus and minuses of owning a 2005 F350. Having settled on what what I believed I needed to accomplish my desires, to pull a 7,000 pound 25 foot MAKO Boat and Motor long distance to a variety of boat ramps I chose a 2005 SRW Long Bed Crew Cab 4x4. Read lots of opinions about the 6.0 liter and potential issues with the engine. Found an original owner offering a very clean 2005 with 98,000 miles located in Baltimore with my intention of having it checked out and a 100,000 mile service performed at PSP Diesel upon my return, who I had spoken with prior.
Hi, Everyone. I discovered this site while searching the web for information concerning the installation of a '92 5.8 fuel-injected engine and 5-speed tranny into my 1966 F250. I've had the F250 for about 2 1/2 years, and the 300 I6 and 4 speed are still running strong. But I want to make the truck more of a daily driver with more versatility, so I bought the '92 F250 as a donor, and I'm preparing to drop its drivetrain into my '66. I read the entire string of instructions in FTE for removing and dissecting the '92's engine harness, and I figure that'll keep me busy for a while. I'll keep watching the subject lines for more information about recommended gas tanks/fuel pumps, and how to get my speedo to work again once I finish the swap. Thanks to all who post onto this forum--there's an amazing wealth of information and knowledge here!
HOWDY
Hi All, I'm new to forums. Don't have a clue what I'm doing. Don't know how to post an avatar or those cool smiley face things. My beloved 1996 F-250 7.5 V8 was stolen out of my driveway. It was recovered a week later stripped to the bone. I used the insurance money as a down payment on a 2011 F-350 6.7 Powerstroke. Problem: I'm StuckinCalifornia and the truck I bought is registered in Arizona. In any other God loving state this would not be a problem. But California is a Godless truck hating hell hole. I am afraid that I won't be able to register it here. Has anyone gone through the smog process. Is it doable. Is it expensive??? Thanks!
New guy in town
Hello everybody. I'm just going to start off saying, this site is a pain in the ***. Couldn't log in because I needed a password that didn't exist password reset link took back to same damn page I needed the password for.
ANYWHO,
Bought a 2011 f150 5.0 bout a month ago, 2nd ferd truck I've owned. First was a 96 Bronco. Miss that damn thing. But, searched something for the 2011 and this site popped up 1st so I figured is give it a shot. Can't wait to dig in here and check stuff out.

Two Ford Excursions
Hello All,
I own a company that produces archery targets, I purchased a 2005 Eddie Bauer Excursion about three years ago, to travel to shows, pulling a large trailer. It has a 6.0 diesel, and at the time had 150 thousand miles, since then I put another 200 thousand miles on it, it performed flawlessly, with regular oil changes, etc.
Last year toward the end of the year it started running rough, and I saw another one just like it for sale locally, a 2004 this time, so I bought it for shows, while I had the 2005 looked at. The 2004 needed some work, mostly an exhaust pressure sensor, and metal line replaced, it runs awesomely now, I have driven it a lot this summer. I must say the two Excursions are a couple of the finest vehicles I have ever owned.
With a combined mileage over 550 thousand miles no one could complain about them.
The 2005 however is giving me problems, and I really do not trust a Ford dealer ship to work on it, researching problems, I came across the forum and found it the best I have been on...so I signed up!
Thank you very much for having such an informative and helpful venue available for Ford Diesel owners such as my self...it is a great help!

Hey everyone glad to be a member
Well, not much to say about my knowledge of vehicles. I have a 1975 F-100 302, 3 speed manual , no power , a plain Jane is what I've heard it called. I'm kinda old to be learning about my truck. I'm 70 y/o and just lately have time to want to do what I can to extend her life. I bought it from a family member in 1984 and drove her for 15 years until I bought a 97 F-150 xlt supercab. The engine is rebuilt with about 150,00 miles. It was made in my hometown of Norfolk Va and I've been driving it in the Pacific Northwest. It has rust areas that need work and a dent on the right wheel well that may need a new section as it may not be able to repair. I would like to fix her up and paint it the baby blue it came as. I need to look for stock wheels and hubcaps. A family member took it off one day and brought it back with those white spoke wheels they sold back in the 80's and lost track of the originals. I am humbly honored to become a member here. I regret I have nothing to bring into the community regarding experience but I look forward to learning and making friends. I'm Jim in Central Oregon.
Been around forums a long time, some of you may know me from other forums. jimbo74 just about everywhere
Picked up a well used 2001 F150 Supercab 4x4 XLT, 5.4L Triton V8, 174k miles, automatic. Has a lift and no muffler. 315/75/16s on it. Motor feels strong, and the interior is pretty clean, has aftermarket headlights, but they are aren't right, so I removed all the halos and extra LEDs, and has a subwoofer with a Pioneer deck, however, I don't like it. It does have the factory cd changer in the center console if that matters? I do have a mismatched wheel, it is the chrome stocker, looks like someone messed one of them up, and didn't replace it. Looking for a matching wheel if anyone has one. It is a Weld Mountain Crusher wheel. I think the rear end needs to come up higher, but it has like 2 blocks? so I don't like that, one block has a bumpstop thing on it, and the other is just a block..... I want to do all spring... Also, gearing is way off, I want to fix that, and also run through all the fluids. nothing is leaking, but there is dry seepage remnants just about everywhere,,,, no wet spots under the vehicle ----- lots of stuff getting changed out, and done this week
