Smile Hello All

Very new to the forum and am slowly lurking through the 7.3 forum. Still don't have a powerstroke, but my eyes are beginning to bleed looking at all the ads on the web. Got a thread running on the 1999 - 2003 7.3 forum looking for pointers on where & how to get a 7.3 without getting fried in the process. Spend a lot of time in the highlands of Panama, just south of Costa Rica. For that area, looks like a short bed for sure with either a crew cab or an extended cab. Truck will be mostly used to cruise around Central America & not hauling too much.

One thing I've noticed on the ads I've seen, is the 4 wheel drive selector which is usually on the dashboard. I've also seen some that come up from the transmission hump & look like a shifter. Anyone know if there is a difference?

The avatar is my German Sheppard, Sombra. It means shadow in Spanish and that she is to me.

I've been using the site for research for a couple of years while looking for a truck (I sold my '71 F100 a few years back). I finally joined because I am now the VERY proud owner of a 2000 F250 SD 4X4 Crew Cab. Man I love this truck!!!

Hey all,
I currently own a 2000 F-350 with the 7.3 and a 2008 King Ranch with the 6.4 both daily drivers. I am one of the lucky ones that get to work at KTP home of the Super Duty. I have to drive 70 miles each way to and from work so a diesel is the only way to go for me.

also new to rhe forum.bought a 99 f-250.had a chevy but it couldnt tow my 28ft. camper over the mountains in pa very well and i have my second child on the way so needed an extended cab.Not used to working on fords so this forum has helped alot so far with some troubleshooting. The only thing that bothered me at fisrt was the 5.4 knocking at start-up but its seems common to these.hooking up to the camper this weekend to try it out.i'll let everyon know what i think.

Hey guys, I recently acquired a 2003 Crew Cab PSD with the 7.3L. it used to be a work truck and has high miles (260k), but was taken care of mechanically. Cosmetically is another issue. I spent about 3 hours cleaning the interior, and removing stickers the first day. Now i'm searching for replacement seats, as i feel i won't be getting the smoke smell out of these for some time. It needs a few things (oil leak fixed, and passenger ball joints replaced), but I feel this is the place to learn everything.

Hopefully I'll be as helpful eventually as these folks have been so far.

May need some help.

Hello all ,new here and I've just aquired an 81 F250 Ranger. I replaced rear brakes, wheel cylinders, and rear lines, and a master cylinder. A filter and fresh oil too. The road test proved interesting. I lost power while accelerating and it choked and sputtered..sounding and acting like fuel delivery trouble. I got it home safely....

I posted a couple of other places here and really had'nt taken a close look at my problem. Both times it appears I was in the wrong forum. So I'll just say howdy and try to be more specific about whats going on with this semi restore..

I really did enjoy The 300 I6 thread.. It appears this is exactly what I have. Back later when I know more. John

New here

Hey everyone,
I am new to the larger ford trucks... I have had a 97 ranger and a 2002 ranger. I just bought a F350 Diesel, used with 72,002 miles. Diesel is very new to me, but my father recommended it to me for longevity of the engines. Either way I am happy that I bought it.

Look forward to browsing the forums and destroying the search feature haha

**My only question that I cant find so far and that is because I dont really know what to type on the search, but Does any Navigation unit from FORD fit in the 2004?

New Here - Having some problems

Hello All,

Like i said, new to the forum but not new to Fords! Have had my share of mustangs, an explorer, a ranger, and my current 04 Ford F250 SD Crew Cab. I am hoping to find some solutions to the problems I am having with it.. I know this is an intro thread so I wont start asking questions in here, I'll do some searching first!

Thanks,

M
