Hello Everyone,
I have used the site a few times to diagnose and make repairs to my truck over the years and thought it was time to join. I have a 2006 F150 Supercrew FX4, black on black, loaded up with all the typical options. All stock (that's how I like my daily drivers) with exception of the DVD headrests for the kids. I bought the truck used in 2009 and it has served our family well without issue. Now I am going to jump to the correct forum and post a question. Thanks, Rhys.

Welcome to FTE everyone!
It's stories like yours that make me wish I could retire now.
Congrats on your retirement and here's wishing you much success getting your rides restored.
Those 8n tractors are super cool.

Hi all... been skulking around this forum for about a year now (only just joining); gleaning a lot of knowledge that has helped me to buy my first PSD (2005 F350 XLT, CRCB,SRW,8 foot box). Thanks to all of you...This forum helped convince me that a 6.0L is not as bad as everyone says...
Have had F Series gassers for 35 years now but added PSD to haul my fiver.
Two trucks in the stable; my old 1990 F-250 SC with a 5.8L and 62,000 miles (100,000 km more or less) have had since new. Love this truck!
Don't drive my trucks alot, but got the PSD so I could beat the gophers up the hills with the trailer in Tow....

1997 F250 Exended Cab Diesel long bed
Hi All! Just starting at this web site; Bought my truck new in '98, a '97 "leftover". Transition year for the F150; i it difficult to search for this model as it is often thought of as the next generation truck, so I don't trust that parts will always be right. I LOVE this truck! A true garage queen with a little over 100,000, as I bought it originally to tow a boat, which was sold the next year. Two issues here; the dashboard cracking and the OEM running boards support rusting out. I am in the process of making stainless replacement tubes by a local company which if it works, I will commission additional replacements if anyone needs them. Dark Toreador Red and I get more "don't ever sell this truck - but if you do, send email

Hi all,
I just got a 2013 F250 diesel a few months ago. I LOVE the truck! It is exactly what I have wanted for the longest time.
I came hear looking for tips, mods, etc... for my truck and have been looking around the forum for a day or so. It looks like there is a lot of great info here, and I am hoping to pitch in someday.
Cheers!

HANDIFLETCH
I have been getting alot of great info from this website by searching on google so I decided to join in. I love my 2000 f250 v10 but getting long in the tooth with 180k so I find myself spending more time under the hood. Look forward to swapping some info and getting some great insider ideas from members who have been there done that.

New to Ford-Trucks.com
Hey all, I'm new here altogether. I've always loved the Blue Oval (my first car was a '69 Mustang Coupe *302/auto) and I even worked as an apprentice tech for the local Ford dealer during my studies for my AAS in Auto Technology. I had an '89 F-250 5.8/Auto for a bit when I worked for a local contractor, and I had a 2002 Ranger 3.0/Auto for several years here recently. But what I'm really excite about is that I JUST got a 1996 F-150 5.0L, Auto, 4x4, Shortbed. I'm not sure what gears or which tranny yet, but I'm real excited to get started on fixin' it up into a real nice truck.
It's good to be here, thanks for all the information an experience that's on here!
