NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
New member here! Just got a '91 Clubwagon XLT and loving it. Only has 82,000 miles on it. It sat up for 3 years and the paint and interior need some love but it runs really good. It used to be a church van. I'll be using it as a work van for my side business. Mainly hauling sheet goods from Home Depot and then dropping off projects to clients. I'll get a gallery up soon. Figured I would join the forum early instead of lurking for 3 or 4 months before deciding to.

Hello all.
I’ve recently acquired a 2000 Excursion Limited, 6.8L 4X4 with the intention of pulling a 31’ travel trailer cross country at the end of this summer. Most of my essential maintenance and upgrades are finished, and the family and I are planning to head out in just a couple weeks. I figured it might be a good idea to have some relationships built around the country in case I find myself needing some guidance in an unfamiliar area.
Thanks for for making this resource available. I’m looking forward to digging in to what’s here and contributing a bit myself.

I'm new to the site currently seeking advice on my 2003 f250 5.4L. In the pas few months it randomly shuts off while driving with no warning however I still have all lights. I am not able to get it to restart in neutral I have to come to a complete stop and put in park and it will start back up. It wont always throw a code and when it does it says its P0174. I have replaced the throttle position sensor and have checked fuses in my cab fuse box and everything is fine fuse wise. However within 5-10 minutes of having the truck on and idling the fuse box get hot. I have thought it may be the idle air valve but I'm curious if anyone else had these same issues or an idea of what it could be.

Greetings, Transitioning from big Chevy to hopefully small Ranger Lariat. Retired now and still need a PU but after 14 years with my low mileage Chevy I am ready for something new. Test drove all the mid sized PU's and was close to bringing home a new F150 crew but as much as I like it driving a big PU around town is getting challenging so I am opting for smaller now. Drove all the brands and only the Ranger spoke to me. I really like the Honda Ridgeline for practicality and storage but the Ford has more towing ability and way more performance! I just hope the EcoBoost reliability and 10 speed trans does not bite me later on with problems. So negotiating right now with a few dealers for best price this month!
