windshield wipers

I have a 1978 ranger explorer f150 and am haveing problems with my wipers. First off my current problem is that I have no low speed or delay speed. I've checked for proper ground, changed switch, and changed the motor. Now before I get yelled at for just throwing parts at it with out diagnosing the issue, let me just say that it all started with the wipers not working almost at all in a rain strom on my way to work one morning. All I had was high speed and at that it was chattering and skipping like the motor wa all burnt or stripped out. And no low or delay at all. So the first thing I did was change the motor and the same thing happened. Then I grabbed a spare switch and installed that. Then I had high speed only. Then a few days later untill current as long as it is coold outside and the truck hasn't warmed up yet I have low speed. But if it is warm outside or the truck has warmed up no low speed. And I was wondering if there was a resistor or relay I was missing some where else? Any thoughts or ideas would greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the intermittent wiper module is bad, or has lost it's ground.

The soldering in the modules are prone to go bad, and it could cause a problem like this.

Do a search, there are proceedures to repair and or replace them.
