i agree with you, but it won't be us. When that republican senator suggested that Iraq pay us back due to their enormous surplus of cash, he was almost railroaded out by the dems.

the prices are really all over the place. I went by a store this morning, gas = $2.69 Diesel = $3.49. $.20 drop from yesterday.

$3.67 in Albuquerque
I e-mailed the Dept of Energy last night after watching "The Factor" asking them why they aren't doing their job. The price of oil has dropped 40% yet the price of fuel (prolly unleaded) has only dropped 15%. I asked them to get back with me on their answer. Still waiting.

i just realized, diesel in this area is now $1/gallon cheaper from the average of $4.59 a few months ago.

It should still be cheaper if you look back to the last time oil was @ the price it is at now.

Just paid $3.19 a gallon at the local Valero down the street today. Best price I've found so far in Phoenix, I believe its about 10-15 cents more a gallon if you dont pay with cash.

Topped off earlier in the week for $3.20 a gal of #2 diesel at a Mobil in Buena Park. That was the cheapest I had seen but it only lasted a few hrs. Today I was coming home and saw it for $3.25 at a 76 right on the corner from my home in Paramount.

For those of you that have Windows Vista; there is available a gadget that monitors the price of crude oil.
I have it on both of my laptops.

I bought a couple of refurbished Gateways, one for work and one for home. Both have Windows Vista Home Premium installed at the time of purchase.
.
It has it's good and bad points.
The good points are all the bling, like the gadgets.
The bad part is trying to get older programs to run on Vista.
Planned obsolescence.
