2000 F-150 to 99 F-150 rim swap

I have a 99 f150 with 16 inch rims, and I want to take a set of 17 inch rims from a 2000 f150 and put them on my 99. The stud holes on the 17's are larger than on the 16's. Although the rims don't actualy sit on the studs, and are instead supported by the hub, is this something to worry about?

The 2000 wheels were on a vehicle with 14mm lug studs. The 99 may have 12mm lug studs. This could be a problem. I would check this out BEFORE putting them on your truck. Dan.

There are a few guys here on FTE that have done exactly that and have no problems with it at all. Just make sure that the lug nuts are torqued properly. Good luck!
