Brake problem

Me and my truck are having a bad week. Seems like everything i touch is breaking. Anyways has anyone ever had trouble when changing the brake pads the 2 pins that the caliper slide on being stuck in the holes??? I beat on one of them for about an hour. Ive tried everything to get it out and it wont budge. So I just gave it a bath in some pb and try again 2moro. Didnt know if there is a trick on getting them out. Thanks

Ive heated the caliper bracket up red hot, while in a vice, then I could work the pin that I clamped absolutely as tight as possible with vice grips. With enough patience and muscle, they come out. Then once they are out, its a good idea to clean up the insides with a wire brush, preferebly chucked into a drill, to clean up as much junk/rust out of there, and now would be a good time to get new pins, and some CRC synthetic brake grease, which is available at napas.
Heres a pic of the grease.

Ya I think that is the route, Im just gonna pull it off 2moro morning and heat it. I wonder if they will have the pins at the parts store? I have a auto value, NAPA, autozone, oreilly and advanced in my town.

More then likely, IIRC last time I had the superheat treatment, I got a new set of pins from napa. The real key here, is getting the synthetic brake grease, and smothering when your finished. Neversieze will melt to the point of powder, and infact sieze. Apparently our brake systems get hot enough to do that. The synthetic brake grease is definetely needed.
