Wiper Wiper arm spindle rebuild ford f 100
Wiper arm spindle rebuild ford f 100, 1966 cc. My wiper spindle on the passenger side is worn out. The piece where the arm connects through the cowling rattles and slides up and down.. I see the whole unit for 50.00 is that the way to go? It almost looks like if I put the arm back on, the pulling of the arm might hold everything up and together, but something is not correct.

If I go in at all, I go in for the kill. Replace every linkage piece you can, down to the motor output shaft. Pivot assemblies, connecting arms, seals, new arms, etc. Much is reproduced, and you can find NOS on eBay. You will then never have to do it the rest of your life. I did all that and also put an NOS 1-speed wiper motor on my spares shelf, since my (apparently) original is still going strong after 55 years.

Sure I hear you Buzzard do a good job. At this time until I get a better spot with more time, I want to remove the spindle that sticks out of the cowling for a temporary repair. Looks like I need one of those special tools for the chrome bezel deal and undo the clip on the arm under the dash and the whole spindle as a unit should come out from under the dash.. Does that sound correct?
Thanks Steve
