Code 171 for 4cyl?

Code 171 for 4cyl?
In the search all the posts were about 4.0 liters with this code. My truck is a 97 with the 4cyl (2.3 or something like that) and a stick shift. I could not find any loose vac lines and spraying carb cleaner all around the manifold did not make any changes in idle what do I check next?

Well I ran out of carb cleaner I will have to get some more, but we cleaned the engine now and everything is really clean, no signs of any problem, even the small plastic lines are nice and supple. The CEL does not come back on for a day or two. The lines to the charcoal canister look the worst but they still don't look bad enough to leak.
Where is the air meter on this engine? I thought it was speed denisty?
