FIXED--P0676 - Glow plug #6 circuit failure (circuit/GP)
Check engine light came on the other day.
Step 1. Go to Auto parts store and read codes. Code is: P0676 - Glow plug #6 circuit failure (circuit/GP)
Step 2. Search ford-trucks.com for P0676 and find the following article
03-21-36***ENGINE - 7.3L DIESEL - GLOW PLUG CONTROL MODULE - VEHICLES WITH CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS - SERVICE TIP
Step 3. Follow steps in article and determine that GPCM needs replaced. Call around for the best prices and buy a new GPCM
Step 4. Spend 15 minutes swapping out GPCM and clearing codes
Done.
I love my 2000 F250. And when I have an issue I go to ford-trucks.com first. Thanks.

Thats very interesting, i had the same code on my 2000 x with a psd at about 155'000 miles, i also replaced the valve cover gaskets and the wiring harness under the covers and outside of it on both sides. I had alot of corrosion in the pigtails and it was getting hard to start. It now starts and runs like it did when i bought it new!
PS
New water pump and throttle last week at 166,000!
