headlight adjustment?

I am looking for a simple "formula" for setting the height of my headlights. Seems a bit too high at the moment. Any suggestions?

The best way I have found is to park in front of a wall at night. Turn headlights on and adjust to suit.

I saw something like this once, but I can't remember where it was.
I know you're supposed to park 25 ft from a wall and measure 30" up or somethig.

I just eyeball mine and no one has complained yet.

If I find an article I'll post it here.
Meanwhile maybe do a google of "How to aim headlights"?

Yeah, I've already done the lights on the garage door at night thing. The 25 feet away 30" up will only work if your rig is taller than 30" at the lights. Or in my case that will have the lights pointing down at an angle that will not allow me to very far in the distance. I seem to remember it was .25" fer foot away from the object, or something like that.
Well, If someone finds out, let me know please. Meanwhile, I'll do the search Dennis suggested.

Thanks,
