The Kansas City assembly plant is listed in the 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog as of 1951. I don't have a ref before that date.
On the Rating Plate thru 1952, the assembly plant code was KC. Beginning in 1953, the code is a K.
Ford was the first auto manufacturer in the world to go global.
At one time Ford had over a dozen assembly plants worldwide, including (what I can recall), Yokohoma, Singapore, Bombay, Cape Town, Dagenham, Cologne, Paris, Amsterdam, Rio de Janerio, Mexico City.
These plants were originally built to assemble Model T's.
