New Excursion Owner

Hi...we just got an '03 X Limited V10 with 91,000 miles for $10900 that is in very good to excellent condition. It had new brakes, tires, sway bar bushings and front hubs repacked as part of the deal. We have had it a week and love it so far. We took our 30' TT up north over the weekend and the X makes a great travel vehicle.

I have one question about the 4 wheel drive. With the hubs in AUTO position and the dash switch on 2 wheel, should i be able to crawl under the truck and turn the front driveshaft by hand? I was changing the motor oil last night and couldn't get it to turn. Could i have a hung up hub? The truck turns fine on pavement so I know the transfer case is not connected.

Thanks in Advance.

Dave P.

Yes you should be able to turn it with the hubs in auto and the switch in 2wd. Look here for info on servicing the hubs
