I've noticed that on the interstate I'm having to hold just a tad of pressure on the wheel to keep the truck from veering off to the right. It seems more noticeable now than when I first got the truck. Maybe I'm just imagining. I have the 20's and it seems to track straight most of the time around town at slower speeds.
I also saw 16.9 mpg today on an interstate trip with the AC on, three adults, a toolbox and 5th wheel hitch in the bed. Usually I can hit 20 mpg doing this. I tried keeping boost under 10, r's below 2k, and speed below 70.
My mpg is getting worse. Could my perceived alignment problem be a culprit? Not happy with the mileage dropping on me after 17k miles.
I would have your tires balanced and rotated and get a 4 wheel allignment and see what happens. I could be wrong but I think that should be done every 10,000-12,000 miles. If off balance, I would think it could affect your mileage some, just like underinflated tires could.
I agree with the previous poster about the tire pressure. However, I just had a conversation with a 7.3 owner this weekend about his falling MPG. I drove down to Marco Island on Friday, after filling up in Tampa, and averaged about 18.8 on the way down. Bought about 1/2 a tank in Marco and got 17.3 on the way back! Granted, I was going slightly up hill, but still.....
Anyway, he is convinced his truck is getting worse economy due to poor fuel. And my mileage should not have fluctuated that much. Fl. is flat down that far.
Maybe these yahoos are now cutting our fuel with something as well as charging 70cents more per gallon than regular!!!
My MPG's are also falling. I have 16k miles on a job1 F250 4x4 with 3.73's. Last summer I would get 18 mpg empty across the desert from LA to the Colorado River. This time I barely got to 15. Everything stayed the same as far as tire pressure, A/C, speed not over 70 mph. No noticable pulling either.

Bingo! I'm not crazy after all. My tires are balanced fine, psi is good, and when I played with the truck yesterday, it seems to follow the crown of the road (e.g. if the road was angled for water run off, that's the direction the truck would go). The big 20's seem to be more susceptable to pulling in the direction of the road angle or road crown. I went from 20 avg mpg by driving like my foot was on an egg to now 16.9 avg mpg. What could it be?? Oh well, at least its not in the shop on the rack!
