check engine light
I have a 1993 XLT with AT, AC, and a 5.8 engine. Recently I have experience an unusual occurance. My check engine light will suddenly come on and the truck hesitates to accelerate. Just as suddenly, the light will go off and the truck runs fine.
Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated.

Did you pull codes?Could take it to Auto Zone and they check codes for free or do it yourself by counting flashes on check engine light.I can't remember what slots on EEC connector you must put a jumper in to do this, but there should be some posts on this procedure.

If I counted the flashes correctly, I am having issues with the throttle position sensor. I have not had time to put a voltometer on sensor to check for proper resistance.
