So I'm having this strange anomaly where my idle will rise slightly to around 900-950 RPM, and I'll feel a slight vibration when stopped, but as soon as I get moving again everything smooths out. It's doesn't feel nearly rough enough to be a miss.

Interestingly, after a few minutes of driving again the idle returns to a more normal 700-750 RPM when stopped.

Today I noticed it twice, and the first time it occurred was about last weekend. No codes or anything, so I'm wondering if something's dirty and could just use some cleaning.

Laggy, these are the headlights I was talking about... If the reflection looks a little weird, they do still have the protective saran wrap type protective plastic on them.

It's kind of hard to capture in pictures, but they are darker than most of them you see, like the reflector is dark chrome? The lenses themselves are clear, not smoked, which I prefer.

I drove around today with my little green OBD-II bluetooth code reader, which also allows me to view dashboard info like speed, voltage, etc.

So the happy idle is actually 650 RPM, and when the slight increase in idle occurs, it only jumps up to about 730 RPM. So it really is JUST a slight increase.

I looked around the air filter and there are no blockages of any kind.

maybe just a requisite cleaning of iac and maf (if we have one).

mine lopes a little/has a shudder/fluctuation. I’m convinced it’s an EGR component. I have no way to back that up though.

Made myself some cargo hooks. 1/8” strap and 3/8” bar stock. I swear welds would have looked better in a straight line lol.

I have owned my '93 since brand new and it has done that since day one. A slight shudder at idle every few seconds. Went to the Ford service center under the 3/36k warranty and they had no idea how to resolve it.
250k miles later and it still does it...

It happened again earlier, and I had the blower motor going at full. I turned the climate control to OFF and idle normalized. Does the AC compressor occasionally kick on when on Vent mode with the dial turned all the way to the coolest setting?

I'd love to remove that system. Unreal what Ford had to do to comply with emission standards.

better heads and higher compression ratio would have worked.

That probably would have solved oil consumption issue. In 30 years of owning cars, I’ve never had oil consumption like this. It’s insane.

Fixed a broken rivet on my front crossmember, deleted my sway bars, and fixed a loose camber eccentric (sorta). Gotta say, it rides so much better now. It's a little more tail happy but I think I need a little more air in the front tires. Washboard roads feel like a pillow. Did notice changing lanes on the highway is different but not bad. My truck is fun to drive now!
