A couple days ago I swapped out the door buzzer in my '87 f250 5.8l for a head light warning chime. Plug and play, but the chime was too big to fit back in the same spot as the buzzer. So I mounted it on the removable panel under the steering wheel. I might move it eventually, but it's fine there for now. I like the chime sound a lot better than the buzzer, but I think I'm going to disable the door part of it, or do it at the driver's door. I don't really need a warning that my door is open. I wanted the headlight warning. The old unit didn't have it. I've left them on several times, not long enough to drain the battery, but I want to keep it that way.

traded my 95 f-150 for a motorhome and a 91 explorer the motorhome needs a little love and the explorer needs a few nuts and bolts and battery cables. the 95 needs a fuel pump and rear shocks the new owner of the 95 plans on putting a camper on the back of it. i told him that won't work the frame and suspension won't handle it but he is adamant. about it.

Installed the harness upgrade and just finished it a little bit ago. I can tell the difference even in the daytime with the lights shining on the wall. Noticeably less yellow than before with Philips Vision Plus halogen bulbs, which are decent to begin with. will test them out in the darkness.

Amazon. I priced them at Bronco graveyard and with shipping included it was just about the same as amazon, amazon won out for the 2 day shipping. Went out and turned on the headlights after dark tonite, very noticeable difference.

Bought my 96' F150 about a year ago and have been working through one problem and leak after another to get her in good shape. Yesterday I FINALLY resolved this ringing I'd hear every time I'd go over a bump. Somehow the retaining nut for the front diver side coil spring had worked it's way up the bolt a few inches and rusted in place. Every time I hit a bump the cupped washer would hit the nut and make a sound like a bicycle bell. Soaked that thing in PB blaster for a few days and bought a huge 1 1/8" wrench and tightened that thing back down. Not the flashiest improvement, but that ringing was driving me crazy.

I have a 460 ECU and am wondering if it can be used on a 351? The trucks are both 95 the 460 is auto and the 351 is manual.

I thought it was a thread in the forum but am not able to find it now.

Cut out the old rusted exhaust from the cat, and threw in the cat back single-single out from Summit!

Over the last few days I have installed on my new to me 1990 F150 4x4:

wiper blades
Air Filter
Plugs
Plug Wires
Cap
Rotor
Hard brake line front left
Lower steering shaft
license plate light socket
turn signal switch

Also fixed a ton of wiring issues in the back so it now has tail lights, running lights and turn signals. Also fixed the trailer wiring, tossed a bottle of radiator flush in and bled the brakes.

Now I have a slight coolant leak so I ordered all new hoses, thermostat and gasket.

Been having fun working on it and hope to have it up to snuff soon for daily driver duties and overland trips. Need to sort out a new seat, or something out of a newer F150 if they are near bolt in, or if I can fab up mounts easily. Pick up some new headlights, new exhaust and tires. Then start on the fun bits
