another quick question bout this, i have a bunch of old boxes of shells laying around for 16 ga.'s the website says i need 6oz of pellets in each tire, however i dont have enough of the same shells for this, does it matter if there are different amounts of pellets in each tire? For example, say i have 6 oz of pellets in 3 tires with 24 pellets in them, then on my other tire i have 6oz of pellets but with 32 pellets in it, will that work or will i need to go out and buy another box or 2 of shells so that i have equal weight AND equal number of pellets?

Shouldn't matter. Just equal weight.

You should be fine, but I suggest you put them all in a cup, count them and divide by four.

That's a different form of math.

Just take the water volume of a WD40 cap and multiply by 11 (~SG of lead) I personally used a 4 fl oz cup of kids yogurt, which is about 44 oz lead.

Hopefully this helps.

HERES A PIC OF THEM

what size do those tires actually measure? Do you burn em alot cause 2 are really worn for groundhawgs..

When my tire spoon from Northern Tools bent while trying to put my new tires on the rims, I took them to a tire store because I did not have time for another trip. After I got my new tires mounted and balanced, a few days later one tire chucked all its weights and the other rear tire threw one of its weights.

I knew I should have done everything myself.

So, using my high lift jack and bumper, I broke the beads and dumped in .177 copper clad BBs, 8 oz each LT235/75r15.

I was a bit nervous about popping the beads on tires filled wih BBs (shot gun baby!) near my head, so I built a remote filler like I made and left at my old work (did the previous with a glad handle).

So, here is a picture of what I bought at Northern Tools for the job.

One air chuck has a tab in it for pushing the valve stem core down, the other is hollowed out for dumping air so it is less restricted. I was able to reseat the beads using just the air gauge on the 20 foot hose.

The reason for the T is in case I want to fill two tires at once if I add another hose later.

Towards the bottom you can see a 1/4" ball valve for dumping as much air as possible. I ended up not needing it or a strap to reset the beads, otherwise it would have gone where the gauge/filler valve is.
