Intake

I recently purchased a non egr performer intake for my 351M, along with 3 key timing set. Im going to trim the gaskets of from the valley pan and use mr.gasket intake gaskets for the intake to head.
If my intake gaskets come with plugs to block off the egr at the head, will it benifit me to add a 1inch carb spacer to keep the carb cool?

thanks
NIck

The carb spacer does more than to keep the carb cool. It helps to reduce the turbulance at the carb. I would use it unless you have some clearance problem.

Thanks

Ok the reason I dont know for sure is because my truck is locked in a shed for winter storage. The owners of the shed "relatives" are on vacation and took the garage keys with them. It sounds pretty stupid but hey its free storage!!!

So as I understand my factory 2bbl carb has a vaccume port either on the carbs base or under the spacer. The aftermarket spacers from what I have seen dont have any vaccume ports on them, and the carb I want to use doesnt have a vaccume port on the base at all.

Do I not have use those vaccume ports or am I just thinking too hard??
