Hey
Man to be honest I'm lost..... I have friends saying 7.3 and then in my other ear it's 6.4 and now im seeing that the 6.4 is having alot of problems. And then I have my other group of friends now telling me to go with the 08 6.6 chevy. I'm new to the DIESEL.... that's why it's starting off hard for me. Where to start?

It seems that some of the newer trucks have their problems no matter which brand. Here at least you find out before hand which Fords and which years are the best, many people have had good luck with most of the Fords.
As for you other friends, well, umm, maybe their the wrong crowd to hang out with....
