Arrow Light inside cap need Hot wire?

Hi All

I want to change my interior cap light so I can turn it on with out the key in. where is the closes power wire or so called hot wire. That I can tap into and will give me power with out truck key on. The only place I know should work is run a wire all the way to the battery and put fuse in line. There has got to be a better way.

Working with 2005 Supper Duty 6.0 Crew Cab long box.

Just finished up the fog light Mod and works like a champ. Only need to cut and ground one wire! Sweet

Great site!

Look at post #11 here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...the-truck.html

Maybe you can find the wiring diagram you're looking for.
