ROTFL Why didn't I think of that! I was actually bugging a friend to go look at it. He's a contractor with a pretty long last name, so I thought he ought to buy it just so he could fit his name on the side. But, while he dug the pics, like a lot of people in that business right now, he's looking for 2 quarters to rub together.

All manuals on auto raider are really automatics, they just don't list them that way. The poor guy has called all of them. Something tells me whatever GUI the dealer uses to upload the listing has a default to "manual", and they miss changing the option for whatever reason.

 

I like manuals my self..But there making the clutchs cheaper and people are getting lazy. And not wanting to shift or learn how to shift makes for dull driving

 

Sitting in traffic has to do with it, too. He is usually tooling around mountain highways, though.

 

I know what your saying..being in City traffic I would want an auto...Be the back roads and Interstates roads I rather have a standard...I rather plow snow with a standard my self

 

I find it is actually easy to use a manual in traffic than an auto..

I just stay back and keep it in first and the truck just slowly moves along.. If you try that with an auto it will pickup speed and then you need to ride the brake.

When traffic is stopped just put it in neutral.. Really not tiring, but I guess if it was an everyday thing then maybe..

To bad your not closer I could do it for real cheap, but seeing your so far the travel cost would kill you..

 

I'm with you - I was just regurgitating the reason most people give. That was the main reason I had for finding a 4 speed for mine - 1st on teh 3 was just too high and you had to a) work the gas all the time to keep it from stalling, whereas you can just let the clutch out to move with the granny, and b) when I did get going, it was way too fast, and I couldn't just idle along. Stop, go, stop, go.
