What are these things?

Quick Question, I was just piddlin around with the truck this evening and had the grill off pondering putting lights in it and I saw two small (2"x1") boxes that had wires running to them. They were right at the top of the radiator. I have attached a picture and was just wondering what they where.
Thanks

If I had to guess, I'd say that it was an accelerometer used by the airbag system.

That's exactly what they are. There are two, one right, one left mounted on the core support. The cars used the same ones.

they are for the airbag.

do not disconnect them or unbolt them with the battery connected and run vehicle.

a code will be set if you do.

Thanks guys, I was think that maybe they had something to do with the airbags. I don't have any intentions of ever messing with them but was just wonderin what they where for. Thank again
