Distributor install
I cant get the distributor to seat all the way down. It stops at 1/2". I turned the rotor shaft a little (Not wanting to move it out of time) but it still wont go all the way down!!! Any ideas?

Distributor install
If the shaft won't turn, that's means the distributor gear is already partially engaged with the cam gear. You can crank it over without losing the timing.
Apply light downward pressure to the distributor, keep your hand clear of the turning shaft, crank it over and the distributor will go down when the oil pump shaft is aligned properly.
