Need Help!!

<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I have a 2002 Explorer with 5R55 W/S transmission. Third gear is slipping but i was able to eas on the gas and get fourth to get me home. DTC P0745 PC-A Solinoid circuit or mechanical failure? The Test requiers new generation star tester to check solinoids. All my research is telling me everyone has paid $2000.00 for the fix. I have no problem completeing the repairs just need some direction. Im sure i do not need a new trans or rebuild.

You never know until you drop the pan and see what kind of debris is there.

yes, check the fluid and see if it is contaminated with metel shavings or clutch material. to check the solenoid you can do it manualy with a power and ground.
