Pulling a small trailer
My 2001 4X4 Supercrew pulls horribly with a small trailer (3000 lbs) behind it, bounces us out of the cab. I have a Reese equalizer/ani-sway system and it still rides rough. Any advice would be helpful.

I just took our 22' travel trailer for a pull. It weighs in at 3500lbs and has tandem axles.
The SC pulled very well, and had no trouble at all at maintaining 65mph. I did not have the equalizer hitch in at the time, as I do need one with a couple more inches of drop. So, the standard insert did allow the trailer to "bounce" the back of the pickup somewhat, but it wasn't bad.
I do have the off-road and trailer-towing packages on my Lariet.

i own a 2001 screw w/ 5.4 & trailer package,ive been towing boats around for a living for years,and this is the best puller ive driven.(excluding diesel).i tow boats of all shapes and sizes,the largest being a 30 foot bayliner,probably weighing around 7500-8000# incl. the trailer,the truck could easily maintain 60 mph,and had power to spare.ive had some rough rides towing smaller boats, and it is always due to not enough tongue weight.you need at least 100# resting on youre ball, or it will probably wonder.in some cases,with 0 weight on the tongue,it will bounce all over, hope this helps.,i.e. you shouldnt be able to lift youre hitch on the trailer. :-staun
