Tech Thread...
So, I want to create a FAQ sticky so that everyone has easy access to advice.
First I would like suggestions.
1. What would you like to see in it?
2. How can it help you?
3. How would you like it set out?
My thoughts are the following.
1. I would like to see everything that is off-road related, everything from advice with fab, through to how to install lift kits, even how you clean the mud off your wheeler...
2. I think it could help us by directing experienced users to the really "tech heavy" threads, and also provide a easy guide for
's to existing threads when they ask about stacking blocks on the front...
3. I would like to see it set out in sections based on areas of the vehicle/wheeling and have it as links to open threads (i.e. no actual participation in the sticky).

Maybe some select older threads and as new threads come up can have links to them.
Id like to see quads build thread and my D60 thread put on it. I think we both learned a few things first hand that this forum did not teach us. I really need to get off my **** and type up an official tech article on it. There are a lot of morons around FTE telling people bad info on crossover steering.

I have several up coming projects that I am going to do tech threads on. One is my F150 Dana 60 SAS with 10.25 rear. This will probably include instalation of gears and lockers.
We are going to swap a 60 into a 79 bronco soon.
How about a link to interco's website.

Id love to read a good 10.25 tech thread. Are you planning to use 9" solid pinion shims and D70 ring gear bolts?

Something on the simpler side is possibly make our own chart or posting one of the existing ones on tire size and suggested gear ratio (ie. 35" = 4.10-4.56), just to solve some of the exesive post.
Also, a couple links to calculators would be great(metric tire size conversion, RPMs, speed after tire change, etc....)
Have something that says D44 does NOT mean you can run 44" tires!
What else are frequently asked questions?
