Hmmm. Be intresting, idk if i could pass that test or not. I'll have to do some studyin on the flight home friday. But i think the test should be more of a general knowledge, like previously stated, 5 easy questions, 10 medium questions and 5 hard questions.

Or maybe 5 easy, 12 medium and 3 hard, So as if you miss 1 medium question you could still pass.

And CHEETO i apologize for the error. i know how to spell cheeto, but the a was accidental. No harm intended.

I will request for the test upon my arival home.

To all minions a good night.

That was a quick drunken bender you went on, and with such a little bottle too. You probably had to put a nipple on that little thing to nurse it downt oo....

STG, I found a deal today that Imight run with for the Ranger. A local mustang guy around here has a 1970 DOVE 514 stroker short block for sale. It's already got the SCAT stroker crank, Eagle H-beams, J&E pistons, all clevite bearings, 4 bolt main caps, balanced rotating assembly, harmonic balancer and flywheel, Ford Racing Victor Jr intake (ported for NOS). The thing is a fresh build (as in just run on the dyno before he pulled the heads back off!) and when he had it together with the Blue Thunder ported heads and Holley Dominator 1050 cfm carb it pulled 850hp on the dyno. I didn't believe it, but he showed me the paperwork. He wants $4500 for short block, intake, dampner, and flywheel! Shoot, this might be the way to go if I can swing the funds.

I need a sponser, anyone want to donate some $$ to my cause so I can go out an spank some chevy and dodge butt??
Please forgive me if I offend. Im tight.
No offense but my opinion is 514s are worthless. Bigger stroke smaller bore strokers can be had cheaper. a 514 is alread .080 over. Any motor trouble what so ever and you are looking for a new block. thats why I like 545s. 6.7 rod 4.5 crank and .030 over. Basically you can slap a stroker crank/rod into a 466 and have a 545 with no mods.

514s were strokers of the 70s because Ford guys realized with some crank grinding they could use factory 454 rods on a factory 460 crank with factory 460 pistons and build a bigger inch motor.

True on the 514, I'm just getting close to the April deadline, and running short on the $$'s, so at this point, I'd hate to put all that work into the chassis and drivetrain to come out with a mild 466, so when I saw the 514 deal, I got to thinking that would be cheaper than the 466 build with a little more until I get the big one done next year.

Oh, and no offense taken!! I'm always up for other views, helps me see beyond what is in front of me. I guess that's why I'm the "Voice" .........
