i was looking for something to do....i want to restore an old F100 or F1!!!

these pictures look great and even when i see some of your guys' unfinished trucks i still see so much potential in what you can make them look like.

in this thread i see an ad on the side and it shows part of an F1 that is maroon red, does anybody have a full pick of it?

keep up with the projects, all these trucks look sweet!

Rick, they look good. Ford-150, keep the eyes peeled. A good truck will come your way. Don't get set on a specific year, but if a year range suits your style, keep the options open. I don't care for 56's, but I like the 53-55, they are pretty much the same, and wouldn't turn down any of the four years. I prefer the 53-55, not the 48-52, but I don't dislike them. They do look good well restored, or even mildly rodded. I couldn't turn down the 48/9 F-1 my boss gave me, hey it was free. You have chosen a good brand to go with, and no, I will not dis the GM or Dodge trucks of similar vintage. I like all the old domestics from about 70/71 on back, including the cars. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site, so look around. Check the galleries, lots and lots of good rigs in there, get lots of ideas for possible build plans. When looking, you need to have a few desires in mind. If you want stock, it is often best to look past the already subframed trucks as anything more than parts. If you want custom, I recommend looking past a really solid original, as they are getting hard to find, and you may be cutting into a perfect resto candidate that our kids or grandkids would desire. Good luck, and keep us posted on what you come up with.

I'll sell you a 48/49 F-1 I just got. I'll cut you a smokin deal, and I'll even store it until you can arrange to get it from Oregon to Florida. $500, it even comes with a clear title. It's mostly complete, and very restorable. It is not so perfect that it would hurt to go dark sided with it, but it isn't so modified or delapidated that it can't be restored.

im still trying to decide wether i want an F1 or and 53-56 F100

my dream is a blacked out(to what degree im not sure) and have a VERY loud exhaust, a somewhat powerful motor, and some nice wheels and tires

im still searching the internet for a picture of something that comes close to what i want

but thanks for the offer and i am interested although im not sure how much it would cost to ship it, im leaning a little toward the F100 altough i really like the bold grille on the 48/49 F1 and its ports in the hood

"a VERY loud exhaust, a somewhat powerful motor,"

Ford - 150, You should seriously consider looking into what Wmjoe 1953 is offering, this far down in Florida good trucks dont come along too often. It would probably cost you $1200.00 to have it shipped here.

I have a 427 that would be very loud and overly powerful that I would be willing to part with. And in case your wondering it's not a chevy motor. It would put you on the dark side but, Oh ! so cool.

Man! I'd jump on that 427 if I were closer!!!! I'd wouldn't think twice about replacing my big 500 Caddy with a 427 Ford
