CD player bezel

Well I kinda already screwed up a lil bit on my bezel. Cuttin the hole out of the stock bezel the same size as the cd player trim didnt work. So im purdy sure that im going to cut out the entire little radio area/insert thing.(yall know what im talking about)The part thats inset around the radio. And then im goin to try to cut sometin like some really thin plywood or a peice of aluminun to surround the cd player. What should I use? And how would i secure this to the bracket or bezel? If i use aluminum i could rivit it to the metal mountin bracket.

wall mart has radio kits for stuff like that and they are cheep it would make that look alot better........I'm sure other stores have them too. Good luck
