alright guys, here's the deal. i have no idea what's going on, but it's something. i just recently had a remote starter installed in my truck by a "professional" at a truck accessories store. since then i have had some issues:

First of all, i'm pretty sure that i'm getting about 2-3 mpg worse then pre-starter and it seems like my rpm's are revving a lot higher than normal when driving.

second, a couple of times now i've gone to start the truck and the lights on the dash just flash and click when i'm in the accessory position and there is nothing when i turn the key to actually start it. no sound, no turn over, nothing. also, when i take the key out the interior lights flash about 18 times and then go off.

lastly, the the other day, the overdrive light was flashing when i was driving and the trailer activator brake would flash numbers when i hit the brake, usually when no trailer is attached it just has a period light up. those things have only happened once and after i turned the truck off and turned it back on the next day it didn't happen and hasn't since.

so as you can see i have some issues. any advice or help you can give me would be greatly appreciated it. thanks guys.

 

have them check the install of your alarm, looks like they ,,ight have tapped or cut somthing while installing the alarm. if they say just remove the unit and see if your truck goes back to normal...
