I am trying to turn off the day time running lights on a 350 superduty 2006 Canadian I think ------------when I remove the fuse for the day time lights they don't come on when started up ---OK-- but I can't shift the selector out of park , the brake pedal depressed before the shifter can be moved system is blocking me with that fuse pulled--question ? how do I bet the selector lever release lock -----

Do the lights light when you pull the E-brake. I've got a suzuki where the daytimes turn off when you pull the e-brake. I know what you're thinking "but then I can't drive the truck". Thing of it is the switch for the ebrake is easy to find and easy to tie into. wire a switch to tell the truck that the ebrake is "pulled" and you're fine. I'd also check that there isn't an alarm that sounds when the ebrake is pulled. That would be a bummer. Hope it helps.
