I need some feedback on a good cd dvd head unit for my o4 f350. In my last truck I had the Valor ITS-710 7" flip up dvd player. It was cool for about 3 weeks untill the volume **** wouldnt work and whenever I started my truck it would come on full blast. I had to make sure my amp was turned down so I didnt blow my subs.
I would like to have a double DIN cd dvd head unit but I guess they wont fit.
Anyone have any good recomendations on a good head unit that isnt super expensive?
Double Din will fit with minor trimming of the dash panel. I did it in my 99 F250 and quite a few others here have done so also.
As far as models to look at the Pioneer AVIC-D3 is very popular here, but I am more partial to the Kenwood units so I would recommend the DDX-7019 or DNX-7100 if you want Navigation.
Alpine, Clarion, and Eclipse also make some nice units you may want to look into. I would stay clear of Valor, Dual, or any of the other generic manufacturers.
I would only recommend Pioneer units as I have owned three DVD monitors from them over the past 4 years and have never ever had a problem with any of them. Also pioneer stands behind there products, if you ever have a problem they will take care of it, you will only have to pay shipping to them, and they will pay to ship it back to you.
