1956 F100 New electrical harness suggestions?
I just bought a American wire harness for my 56 . (22 circuit). Just a few comments and questions
comments
-Im want to get as much wiring out of engine compartment as possible.
-got a new ididit steering column
-got a new instrument panel and classic gauges
questions
- any install points I should be aware of?
- location of fuse box?
-move battery? where?
-best place to hide wiring?
-should I inclose wiring in corrugated flex tubing?
any other comments are welcomed.....I only want to do this once!

My 53 had the battery under the passenger side floorboard with a access door in the floor. You might want to investigate this if you want to hide the battery.
Most people run one wire alternators and distributors to get rid of most of the engine wiring.
I would look at the instructions with the wiring kit as far as locating the fuse box. If all the wires that go to one side are shorter than the others, then that may determine what side of the truck the fuse box goes on.
