Ignition switch help
couldn't get my key in the ignition all the way yesterday. Keys are fairly new and have been working well up to this point. removed the switch from the dash and found a tumbler came out and was loged in the slot. fished it out and key now goes in all the way but will not turn. my question is how to remove the pin that holds the tumbler into the housing so i can fix it or have it repaired without unhooking all the wiring?

I've forgotten how to remove the lock cylinder, but here's the part numbers for the ignition switch, and the lock cylinder & keys:
B5A-11572-A .. Ignition Switch ~ 1957/60 F100/1100 (Motorcraft SW-270)
B9A-11582-A .. Cylinder with Keys ~ 1957/60 F100/1100 (Motorcraft SW-278)
Both of these parts were also used on: 1952/59 Ford passenger cars and 1955/60 T-Birds.
Depending upon how worn the cylinder is, a locksmith may be able to replace just the tumblers.
