I have for sale a 1951 F7 Fire truck. I bought this from the first private owner. He bought it off of the State. He purchased the vehicle and let it sit back in his lot for 20 years. Says he drove it back to where it sits today. Has 11,XXX original miles. I have a title in hand. The body looks great on this thing. It still has all the horns and sirens. Whether they work I'm not foresure, but this thing is in excellent condition for its year. Has all of the original hoses, gauges are in great shape. No water in gauges what so ever. Would be an amazing restoration project. Has all flat tires. These trucks are hard to find. Especially in this shape. Wouldn't take much to get this thing back on the road. Look at the pictures and think how good this thing would be once its done being restored! This would look great in anybodys collection. shoot me your email and i will send pictures. asking 4000 obo thanks!

The '55 Big Jobs had a two piece side hood emblem. There was the scripted Ford F-800 part, that looks exactly like the F-100 thru F-600 truck emblems, and there is the Big Job badge that went under it. There is only one F-800. Any truck over F-700 is a Big Job, up until I think it was '58, or '59 when they went to Super Duty. Also, until we see pictures, we're unable to believe you actually have a Big Job (just kidding, but pics are really nice to see). If you have any direct questions, you can e-mail me... wmjoe1953@msn.com I can also provide you with photos of a complete '55 emblem.

Can you tell that I'm a new-bee, I was wrong about my hood badges. They do have Big Job on them, Ford F-800 on top and Big Job below. Started work today, stripped 1" wood off Flatbed today and found diamond plate steel and a 5th wheel mount in the middle of the bed. Thougth it was set forward to far, close to 6' up in the middle of my 12' flatbed. Must have been used for a goose-neck trailer? Love figuring out this Big Job, also found under the seat the old pump shifting lever that mounted right of the gear shift.

Assuming it's the truck in your pictures, it's a good looking '55 F-800 custom cab truck. Just so you know, the running boards, and fenders are the only items that are Big Job specific. The doors, hood, cab, lower valance, inner fenders, air deflectors, grille, glass, etc., etc. is all the same F100-F900. The wheel cylinders will need to be rebuilt, as will the master cylinder, and brake booster. They do not have replacements. The 317 can be rebuilt, as the parts are available, and I just found the carb kit I used on my '53 279, so I can get you the number, as it's the same carb. Personally, I would locate a newer set of medium duty axles, like from a 70's Ford, for the newer internals that can still be purchased through NAPA, and such. You can e-mail if you need more information. wmjoe1953@msn.com
