Yesterday on the way home from the lake I went to roll the window down and the automatic part stoped working. The window will go down in either position, down or clicked down. The window goes up fine. I have no idea how this fuction works. Where do I start?
The down switch should have 2 positions. the first one will be just down regular. there is a second position that controls the auto down. the second position should be linked with some kind of relay that will hold the circuit closed for "X" amount of time to allow the window to roll down automatically. if it is going down in both positions i would look at the relay.

Update, I managed to break the up fuction as well. I installed a new switch and everything seems to be working. We will see what happens. The automatic down was becoming hit or miss, but has hit everytime I have tried it with the new switch.
Just to tell you the rip off at the Ford Dealer they wanted $117 for the switch, I called my buddy that has a dealer account with them and he got it for $71 and the guy on the phone said list was $91. I heard him on speaker phone 2 minutes after I talked to him. He even said to my buddy "some one else just called looking for that."
They wanted $561 for the updated torque convertor and my buddy got it for $361, and they still made money on that.
