some serious clicking
ok, the trucks a 79 4x4, 3 inch lift, with a 351m. i've been having a clicking thats getting worse on my front axle somewhere. i cant pinpoint the source, but its mostly when turning, at first it was just on hard turns but now just touching the steering wheel, and seems louder in time. it even gives me one last click after the truck stops and i jump out. a mechanic who just listened to it told me it was some kind of pin? but couldnt think of the name of it. any suggestions would be great.

He might have said kingpin, but that truck won't have kingpins unless it is an F250/F350 with a Dana 60 front axle.
Jack up the front axle and try to shake the tire, right to left loose is tie rods, up and down is bearings or ball joints.
