A new question/problem

So here's the deal...I'm sure some of you may remember my problem with the starter/solenoid/relay. Well I got another starter, changed the battery, even the solenoid on the firewall. The truck started right up, but about 10 seconds into it...I heard the starter turn on again. Which made a horrible grinding sound. A few of my friends have said to me there might be a crack somewhere on the wiring harness which might be grounding out. I'm having a lot of problems with removing that...since it's on there pretty solid. Anyways, does anyone know how to fix the problem I've got? I mean, like any solutions?

if the head lights stay on then its is a wiring problem, if they go out the its a key switch issue. i dont know the elec diagram for these trucks but if the signal for the solenoid comes from the computer it could be that. if the lights stay on try jumping the start signal wire after you trace it back as far as you can and see if it solves the problem. other wise buy a flat of beer and a some elec tape/zipties and start checking the harness for a short. open the harness and keep going untill you find/eleminate the problem

Thanks for the help, but I'm having a few problems with the wiring too. The problem is...well, I can't seem to get to the wiring at the bottom. I should clarify, I can't seem to loosen the wiring harness to open it up. Got any advice for that? Oh, and it's the 4.6 motor. If that helps any.
