Running rough when cold

When my truck is cold, it takes a while to start and acts like a fuel pump is dying. It smooths out after a couple minutes/miles of driving, but it sure is annoying. Hot starts are no problem. I'm also getting rather poor mileage, so I'm wondering if these two problems could have a related cause.

Have you checked the choke for proper operation? It should open up fully when the engine is warm, and close when the engine is cold(may have to open the throttle once to get it to close when cold). Just a thought about something simple that could cause your problems.

The truck is fuel-injected. But I'll give it a little pump before I start it and see what that does.
