E40d Problems
New to frum. I have a 99 motorhome, with I think a E40D.I had it rebuilt not to long ago and the repair shop is giving me the run around. When I take off from a complete stop it revs like it did not down shift into first. It does not do this all the time. When I come to a stop, if I put it in first I can shift it manualy. Hope you guys can help me out.

revs like in neutral? If there's an electronics problem (speed sensor) there should be a fault code, otherwise I'd be looking toward a bad one-way clutch if you have manual first gear, but no first gear in drive. I don't know the powerflows for e4od or 5r100, just c6, but those trannies are based on the c6
