Engine specs??

Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that has technical information on 302cid engines of different years. I have a 91 F150 and was wondering about some information on it, such as; compression ratio, whether or not it has MAF or speed density and other general stuff like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks boys.

Your truck is speed density unless it was upgraded after the factory. One way to verify this, is by the number of inlet hoses into your air box. If you have 2 hoses that enter, then its SD. If there is one that enters, with a MAF sensor directly in front, then its a Mass air system. As a 1991 truck, you should have E7TE heads. With some minor porting and polishing, these heads can flow well.

If you have the 351/HO firing order (1-3-7....) then you've got a bit more potent 302 than the older (1-5-4-2...) firing order. I'm pretty sure your 91 has the older firing order. I believe the newer 1-3-7 firing order, with the more aggressive F4TE cam began in 1994.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will be happy to correct me.

Hope this helps,
Mike

Thanks for the info Mr. M. What would be involved in converting a SD setup into a MAF? From what I understand, I would be better off doing this conversion before modding the engine because any mods wouldn't produce their full potential. I'm just wondering how involved this process would be because I believe that I have an above average understanding of engine's, but I've never really done much work to one. Thanks again.
