Yes, I found that, but I can't find any info for the 2008, which is completely different...

Sorry cfd29 I was responding to johnw's question.

BTW if you have a 2008 you should update your profile and signature so people know that.

I don't know about the 08 but on the 2000 I have one can have the key in alarm unprogrammed - unlike the cut wire or other mods, this does not effect any other functions which use the key in switch. I had never seen this anywhere however I have the NGS tool and that is one of the functions.

Door Chime...

I found this to be a pain in the butt... I bought the wiring schematics and figures out how this guy works... Coming out below the steering column is a blue-grey wire. When the key is inserted in the ignition switch, 12 volts is sent through this wire to the logic in the PCM. Then the PCM checks to see if the door is ajar. Then the PCM sends the signal to make the chime sing... I cut the wire (blue-grey) and put heat shrink on both ends. Now put key in ignition with door open, no chime.. Everything else seems to work fine....

Yes I will, but I still have the 2007, the 2008 won't be here until the end of July, I have a 2007 as listed on my profile a great truck, I thought, but it stayed in the shop for most of it's life. It is a year old and only has 4000 miles on it, over 1000 of those miles were put on by the dealer. Ford finally came across and did a buy back on it, so now I have a new 2008 on order, was trying to figure some things out before it came in.... So I could get right to work on it when I get it.... Counting the days//
